Watch enthusiasts around the globe can look forward to an exceptional timepiece auction on Tuesday, June 12th at Antiquorum Auctioneers in New York City. The collection of 269 timepieces features some remarkable examples of Patek Philippe and Jaeger-LeCoultre in addition to an Omega Constellation that previously belonged to Rock ‘n’ Roll legend, Elvis Presley. Prior to the sale, Antiquorum experts will preview the collection in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Singapore, as well as New York.
The highlight of the sale is the Patek Philippe Ref. 5016 in yellow gold. Made in 2001, this is an extremely rare and important, astronomic, minute-repeating, 18K yellow gold wristwatch with one-minute tourbillon regulator, retrograde perpetual calendar, moon phases and a custom grey dial never before seen on a Ref. 5016. Collectors will be interested to note that custom dials were only available to the most important clients resulting in very few unique examples.

Also for the Patek Philippe collector, Antiquorum is proud to present the Patek Phillipe Ref. 3974 in yellow gold. This fine timepiece, produced in 1992, is a fine, astronomic, minute repeating, self-winding 18K yellow gold wristwatch with perpetual calendar, leap year indication and moon phases. It is accompanied by the original Patek mahogany fitted box, spare solid 18K yellow case back, Certificate of Origin and setting pin.

Another extraordinary timepiece offered is the Patek Philippe Ref. 5004 in platinum. It is an important water-resistant wristwatch made in 1998 with split-seconds chronograph, registers, perpetual calendar, moon phases, leap year and 24 hour indication. Further accompanying the watch is the original fitte d wooden box, Certificate of Origin, instructions, additi onal solid case back and setting pin.

The Jaeger Le-Coultre collector will want to bid on the Ref. 149.6.07.S Gyrotourbillon 1, made in a limited edition of 75 pieces in platinum. The exceptional and highly complicated 8 day going wristwatch, sold in 2008, features a visible Jaeger-LeCoultre caliber 177 with inclined lightweight two-cage multi-axis spherical tourbillon, two barrels with sapphire covers, equation of time, perpetual calendar with retrograde month indication, leap-year indication, patented instant date display by means of two retrograde hands and power reserve indication. It is accompanied by the original fitted box, guarantee and 2 books.

In addition, there will be a Patek Philippe Ref 5102 “The Celestial” included in the June 12 sale, made in 2003. This fine example is a rare and unusual, astronomic, self-winding, 18K white gold wristwatch with mean time indication, nocturnal sky chart of the Northern Hemisphere, moon phases and moon orbit, time of the meridian passage of Sirius and the moon. It is accompanied by the original fitted box and Certificate of Origin.

Rock ‘n’ Roll fans will be competing for Elvis’ Omega Black Dial Constellation Calendar. This fine and rare watch, produced circa 1960, is a self-winding, center-seconds, water-resistant, stainless steel and pink gold-capped chronometer wristwatch with black dial. It is accompanied by a letter of attestation from Elvis’ longtime friend, Charlie Hodge.

Antiquorum is also offering a Piaget Ref. 4154 Galaxy in white gold and diamonds. Produced circa 2002, this is an exceptionally rare and important, diamond-set 18K white gold bracele t watch, the case and bracelet channel-set with 456 baguette-cut diamonds (approx. 51.9 ct.), the dial set with 42 baguette-cut diamonds (approx. 6.2 ct.).
