Designer Brands at International Jewellery London 2012


The Designer Brands section, launched at last year’s show, is set to be spectacular this year. IJL has announced some of their key highlights in this area of the show, ahead of the opening this weekend (show dates: 2 – 5 September). Featuring celebrity designers and new celebrity collaborations, stunning fine jewellery and contemporary collections, and fun and quirky designs, visitors are set to be impressed.

Key highlights include…

Award winning Rachel Galley Jewellery will officially launch her new Meg Mathews capsule collection at the show. Designed by Rachael and inspired by Meg, the collaboration sees two design talents come together for what promises to be a much celebrated brand collaboration. Meg Mathews said ‘ I am so excited about working with Rachel and launching my first jewellery collection this is one of the most exciting times in my career to date’.
After excelling at IJL 2011, the pressure is on Andrew Geoghegan for a repeat performance. As ever he is rising to the occasion and his Editor’s Choice award for the Chocolate Box is a perfect start! AG is going to put on quite a show with jaw dropping Cocktail Ring launches, ‘The Word’s First Facebook Ring’ and an exquisite bridal collection, and he promises that the stand will be even more impressive than last year. Andrew’s partner Lindsay will also be exhibiting something rather incredible at their stand.

A brand new exhibitor, Oak Jewellery is set to shine this year. Founders Jo-Anne & Parul graduated from Central Saint Martins and forged careers designing jewellery, and trend-forecasting for many global high street brands. With a shared passion for beautiful aesthetics that evoke sentiment they came together to create OAK; a British jewellery brand encapsulating the wonders of life, love and heritage.

Anothe r exciting new exhibitor, Dinny Hall is a well-known British jeweller y brand, independently run for over 26 years. The jewellery can be a contemporary heirloom, classic with a twist or the season’s must have fashion piece. Best known for strong, elegant silver designs, the Dinny Hall brand attracts celebrities Emma Watson and Thandie Newton alike.

SHO Fine Jewellery will launch a stunning new floral collection this year at the show. Beautiful flowers and bows in sterling silver or rose gold vermeil with delicately coloured gemstones and pale pink pearls. In true SHO style and inspired by the English country garden, the pieces are elegant and fresh with a soft vintage twist.

Deakin & Francis will “get to work” promoting their latest cufflinks at IJL. Their stylish, fun and quirky new range suits everyone – doctor, businessman, policeman (even pirate!) whatever the trade, they’ve got the right links. The ‘sportsman’ model is sure to be popular with anyone from sporting professionals to those who enjoy watching sports!

A show favourite, Sarah Jordan has been creating truly inspiring collections for 25 years – and this year she celebrates at the show with the UK launch of two very special collections. The two new designer collections are the Platinum ‘Goddess of Love’ inspired tri-sets and the 25th Anniversary Silver Collection, both collections showcase Sarah’s unique ability to combine masterful craftsmanship with an artists passion in her signature style.

26 Passage is a Parisian brand of fine and poetic jewellery, made of sterling silver and fine stones. It is the brainchild of Sophie Thobie and all of their creations are born and assembled in their workshop in Paris. They have 15 years experience in the jewellery business, and are the ideal brand for clients looking for sweet poetic and refined jewellery.

A real classic brand, Babette Wasserman is trained in fine jewellery at Central S t Martins College of Art and has been creating collections of origina l jewels and cufflinks using the finest 925 silver under her own label, as well as for a variety of other brands, for fifteen years. Her latest work will be a delight for new visitors and existing clients to see.
